Seattle no longer the most literate U.S. city

Maybe we're too busy at the coffee shop or shopping at REI. Or perhaps we Seattlites just spend too much darn time in the woods. Whatever the case, Seattle has fallen from the #1 slot among the rankings of most literate U.S. cities.

The details of the study are really interesting, in my personal lit-head opinion. For instance, did you know that Seattle, Minneapolis (our current #1), Denver, Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C., have all been in the top 5 since the first study in 2003?

All you Clevelanders out there will be interested to hear that the study ranked C-town highest for library resources. Cleveland ranked a fairly respectable #13 in the overall scoring.
